Answer: Hi, There's varying options when it comes to settling young babies of her age. The general advice is to use "responsive settling" and "settling in arms" strategies for very young babies. at 11 weeks of age your baby is too young to learn how to modify her behaviour from crying it out. Though I appreciate that receiving conflicting advice about settling can be very confusing, your CHN knows you and your baby's history so I'd suggest following their advice. Just be mindful that babies benefit from being settled in much the same way each time. If she's going off to sleep in her swing sometimes, in your arms or feeding at other times and in her cot then this won't support her being placed into her cot awake but sleepy and then going off to sleep on her own. When she cries she's not doing this to be naughty of make life hard for you. There are times when she will just need your reassurance and to be cuddled until she's calm. Check the settling for age information on the Huggies website and keep up regular appointments with your CHN. Best Jane
